Cats are equipped with plenty of natural grooming tools (tongue, teeth, etc) so that they are able to tackle their own hair care needs. But sometimes they are very dirty or get into something sticky or smelly and giving her a bath is inevitable.

Top Tips To Bathe Your Cat

Before starting a bath take a look at the following tips to ensure minimum stress and maximum efficiency:

Timing.

Bathing should be scheduled when your cat is at her most mellow. A play session with a toy of choice can help tire out every cat.

\\\"Stop

Safety first.

For your own protection, experts recommend that you trim the claws before start bathing.

Grooming.

Give your feline a good brushing to remove any loose hair and gently place some cotton in the ears to protect him from water.

Steady grip.

Place a rubber bath mat in the sink or tub so that the cat will not slip and fill about four inches of lukewarm water.

Getting wet.

Use a hand-held spray hose or a plastic pitcher to thoroughly wet your cat, but not directly in her ears, eyes, and nose.

\\\"How

Laundering.

Gently massage your fluffy feline with a cat shampoo, working from head to tail, in the direction of hair growth. For one more time avoid the face, ears, and eyes. Avoid using human shampoo as it may dry out your cat’s skin.

Rinsing.

Very carefully take the shampoo off your cat with a spray hose or pitcher using lukewarm water. Make sure that you remove all residue that has been removed, as it can irritate the skin.

The face.

Gently wipe the cat’s face with a washcloth to remove dirt. In case it is very dirty, you could use diluted shampoo to stay away from the eyes and ears.

Blowout.

Wrap your cat in a large towel and dry her in a warm place. You could use a hair dryer in the lowest heat if noise is not a problem for your cat. If your cat has long hair, you might need to disentangle her fur with a wide-toothed comb.

Bribery.

Your little bathing cutter deserves her favorite delicious treat after all this! This is the best way to strengthen the bond, next time she might find that bathing is not that bad. cat ba
