Mr. Henderson said: “When Forbes first went missing in March 2011, we did anything we could to find him. We printed posters and we went door-to-door in the area we lived in Rosemount. We even asked people to check garages and sheds just in case he may have been locked inside”.
“We’d had him from when he was a kitten and we had such a special bond. He was such a unique and friendly character, we absolutely adored him”.
“After eight or nine months, we very sadly had to come to the realization that the worst may have happened.”
The Scottish SPCA received the call and found that the cat had a microchip, his name was Forbes, and was 12 years old. Neil was driving when Lucy called him and asked him to pull over.
“I was completely unprepared for what I heard and the fact that we found Forbes left me speechless” said Neil.
The next day Neil and Lucy traveled to Aberdeen. “When Forbes saw me he gave me a hug so I’m hopeful that he remembered us” Neil added.
