Cat Jumps From 5th Floor Of Burning Building In Chicago
A cat in Chicago has survived after jumping out of a 5th floor window to escape an apartment fire.
On the 13th of May, Chicago Fire Department personnel were taking a video of the exterior of the building as firefighters were trying to extinguish the blaze. It was then that a black cat appeared through a broken window. The feline briefly checked the side of the building with its front paws, and then just jumped.

The brave cat missed a wall and instead landed on all four paws on a patch of grass, bounced once and ran away.
As Larry Langford, the fire department spokesman said: “It went under my car and hid until she felt better after a couple of minutes and came out and tried to scale the wall to get back in”, adding that the cat was not injured and was trying to track down its owner.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported after the fire.
